Recipe

Karate chop! MaKayla is going to go all karate on you now, and so is Kylee. They like to go and sit in the back of Cayson's class and mimic what they do. Then, a mothers dream, they all like to come home and practice. It's awesome!!!

So, I recently found a buttermilk pancake syrup recipe that I have been sort of looking for for the past 4 years or so. I'm so excited! It is absolutely delish, and the kids and I try and find any excuse to make anything that it can be put on. So, you have GOT to try it! Just for kicks. You will fall in love!!!! I am not kidding. At least I did, anyway.

I found it in The Pioneer Woman's website, in the Tasty Kitchen. Which, I might add, has some really amazing, and TONS of recipe's! We've been eating off of those recipes for 3 weeks now, with no end in sight. Anyway...

Buttermilk Syrup

1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. butter (or margarine)
2 T. Karo syrup
1 t. (or a little less) baking soda
2 t. vanilla

Bring the first four ingredients to a boil for 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Turn off heat and add soda. Mixture will bubble up so you may want to do this over the sink if your pot is shallow. Stir in vanilla and enjoy warm. Store in fridge.

Thanks for sharing recipes! We love homeade syrup at our house! I will have to try this one... Our favorite right now is coconut syrup... yum! Oh how I am wishing we were still neighbors, swapping recipes while taste testing! Thanks for posting them though! I'm going to try the salsa tomorrow, I think! We'll see if Kayden adds a little something extra while I'm not looking... Your pickles are gorgeous by the way. I am having patience issues with the ones we did!

We have this recipe, and we really like it as well! Your countertop looks good. Hopefully, we will be able to see it in person sometime!
