Candria's Sweet Cornbread Recipe

I can't just post a recipe without posting some pictures, because pictures are the fun part! It was Cayson's birthday on the 14th, and because Jeremy had to leave for a business trip, we opened presents on the 13th. He got some really fun presents, and he is 8!! Crazy!

So, the Recipe:

Sweet Cornbread
1/2 c. cornmeal
1 c. flour
1/2 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs, SEPARTED
1/2 c. milk
1/2 t. vanilla
6 T. butter, melted

Pre-heat oven at 350. Combine dry ingredients. Separate eggs, and combine egg yolks, milk, vanilla and butter. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold into batter carefully. Put in 9x9 or 8x8 pan and bake for 30 minutes. It's so way good, and we really enjoy it, especially with the beans or chili or just whenever.

Cute blog Sharilyn!! It's nice to see what your family has been up to and see what they all look like now. They are all adorable! It makes it so much easier to stay in touch with friends, which I am normally terrible at!!
